What is it a PLE? What is CONNECTIVISM?

PLE

A PLE is a Personal Learning Enviroment.

They are a all the systems  needed for a

person to manage and control his or her own learning process.                                  

It describes the tools, communities, and services that constitute the individual educational platforms learners use to direct their own learning and pursue educational goals.

The concept of PLE marks a fundamental change in the roles resources play in learning and teaching.

CONNECTIVISM.

“At its heart, connectivism is the thesis that knowledge is distributed across a network of connections, and therefore that learning consists of the ability to construct and traverse those networks”. Stephen Downes

 Connectivims is a theory about learning that, as says the quote above, proposes the basic activity of learning is construct networks thought nodes of information. The main connectivism theorists are George Siemens and Stephen Downes.
